About SehriTime

SehriTime provides accurate, location-specific Sehri (Suhoor), Iftar, and daily prayer times for Muslims worldwide.

Our Mission

We believe every Muslim should have easy access to reliable prayer times for their exact location. Whether you are at home, traveling, or exploring a new city, our goal is to give you a trustworthy reference for your daily worship schedule.

How We Calculate Prayer Times

Our prayer times are calculated using well-established astronomical formulas based on the position of the sun. We use the geographic coordinates of each location along with solar position equations (solar declination, equation of time, hour angle) to determine when each prayer time begins.

We support multiple calculation conventions used by Islamic authorities around the world, including:

  • Muslim World League (MWL) – Fajr 18°, Isha 17°
  • Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) – Fajr 15°, Isha 15°
  • Umm al-Qura, Makkah – Fajr 18.5°, Isha 90 min after Maghrib
  • Egyptian General Authority – Fajr 19.5°, Isha 17.5°
  • University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi – Fajr 18°, Isha 18°

Both Standard (Shafi'i) and Hanafi juristic methods for Asr prayer are supported. The appropriate method is selected for each region based on local convention.

Accuracy & Disclaimer

While we strive for accuracy, calculated prayer times are mathematical approximations. Local conditions such as elevation, weather, and terrain may cause minor variations. We recommend using these times as a reliable guide while following your local mosque or religious authority for exact prayer times, particularly for beginning and ending the fast during Ramadan.
