Hadith #2467
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ أَشْرَفَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى أُطُمٍ مِنْ آطَامِ الْمَدِينَةِ ثُمَّ قَالَ
" هَلْ تَرَوْنَ مَا أَرَى إِنِّي أَرَى مَوَاقِعَ الْفِتَنِ خِلاَلَ بُيُوتِكُمْ كَمَوَاقِعِ الْقَطْرِ ".
Once the Prophet (ﷺ) stood at the top of one of the castles (or higher buildings) of Medina and said, "Do
you see what I see? No doubt I am seeing the spots of afflictions amongst your houses as numerous as
the spots where raindrops fall (during a heavy rain). (See Hadith No. 102)
