حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا دَلْهَمُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْكِنْدِيُّ، عَنْ حُجَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْكِنْدِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ النَّجَاشِيَّ، أَهْدَى لِلنَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ خُفَّيْنِ أَسْوَدَيْنِ سَاذَجَيْنِ فَلَبِسَهُمَا ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَيْهِمَا .
It was narrated from Abu Buraidah from his father that:An-Najashi gave the Prophet a gift of a pair of plain black leather socks. He put them on, then he (performed ablution and) wiped over them
