Hadith #47848
'Isa ibn Ahmad told us, saying: 'Abdullah ibn Wahb told us, saying: Malik ibn Anas told me, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, on the authority of Anas ibn Malik, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) entered Mecca in the year of the Conquest, wearing a helmet. He said: When he took it off, a man came to him and said to him: Ibn Khatal is clinging to the curtains of the Ka'bah. He said: Kill him. Ibn Shihab said: And it has reached me that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was not in a state of ihram on that day.
