حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُوسَى الأَنْصَارِيُّ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ أَبِي وَدَاعَةَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، قَالَتْ‏:‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ يُصَلِّي فِي سُبْحَتِهِ قَاعِدًا، وَيَقْرَأُ بِالسُّورَةِ وَيُرَتِّلُهَا، حَتَّى تَكُونَ أَطْوَلَ مِنْ أَطْوَلَ مِنْهَا‏.‏
Ishaq bin Musa Al-Ansari narrated to us, he said: Ma’an narrated to us, he said: Malik narrated to us, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, on the authority of Al-Sa’ib bin Yazid, on the authority of Al-Muttalib bin Abi Wada’ah, on the authority of Hafsa, the wife of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: The Messenger of God used to pray his Subhaha sitting, and recite with the surah and recite it, until it is longer than a longer one.
