Hadith #7625
حَدَّثَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الأَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" لاَ تَرْغَبُوا عَنْ آبَائِكُمْ فَمَنْ رَغِبَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ فَهُوَ كُفْرٌ " .
Narrated by Muhammad bin Rāfi’ and Hajjāj bin ash-Shā’ir: They said: “Abd ur-Razzāq narrated to us, Ma’mar said: ‘I have never seen Ayyūb speak ill of anyone except Abd al-Karīm – that is, Abū Umayyah.’ So he mentioned him and said, may Allah have mercy on him: ‘He is not trustworthy – he asked me about a hadith from Ikrimah and then he said, “I heard from Ikrimah” [when narrating the hadith].’”

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) observed
