Hadith #9282
وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، الْجُهَنِيِّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" أَلاَ أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ الشُّهَدَاءِ الَّذِي يَأْتِي بِشَهَادَتِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُسْأَلَهَا " .
Yahya ibn Yahya told us, saying: I read to Malik, on the authority of Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Uthman, on the authority of Ibn Abi Amrah al-Ansari, on the authority of Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:
"Shall I not tell you about the best of witnesses? The one who gives his testimony before he is asked for it."
