Practical notes for fasting

Stop eating and drinking by the Sehri time shown above; do not wait for the Fajr azan, which many mosques call a few minutes after the time begins. Break the fast at the Iftar time, which is sunset. If your local mosque's timetable differs by a minute or two, follow the mosque: it may add a safety margin or use a different calculation angle.

Times for every day of the year

This page is updated every day, so the times above are always today's for Mansoura. The monthly calendar lists every day of the month, which helps when planning voluntary fasts such as Mondays and Thursdays or the White Days (13th to 15th of each Hijri month), and when printing a timetable for the mosque or the office.

How the times are worked out: from the latitude and longitude of Mansoura and the date, using the Egypt method for Fajr and Isha; Sehri and Iftar follow from Fajr and sunset. Some mosques add a minute or two as a precaution, so small differences from a local timetable are normal.
