Hadith #11963
وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ، وَحَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَحَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ شُجَاعٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لِلْوَلِيدِ وَحَرْمَلَةَ - قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، وَعَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ تُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ إِلاَّ فِي رُبْعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا " .
Abu Tahir and Hermalah ibn Yahyah and Walid ibn Shujah (may Allah be pleased with him) Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: He said: "A thief's hand cannot be cut off except for a quarter of dinar or more of his possessions.
