روى لي محمد بن حاتم (قائلاً): روى لنا يحيى بن سعيد عن يزيد بن كيسان (قائلاً): روى لي أبو حازم (قائلاً): أشرتُ بإصبعي إلى أبي هريرة وقلت: والله الذي بيده روح أبي هريرة، ما أكل هو ولا أهله خبز القمح ثلاثة أيام متتالية حتى توفي النبي (صلى الله عليه وسلم). (شرح ٢٩٧٩ د)
Muhammad ibn Hatim narrated to me (saying): Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us from Yazid ibn Kaysan (saying): Abu Hazim narrated to me (saying): I pointed to Abu Hurayra with my finger and said: "By Allah, in whose hand is the soul of Abu Hurayra, neither he nor his family ate wheat bread for three consecutive days until the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away." (EXPLANATION 2979 DA)
