Hadith #35149
الحديث 6. روى زياد (رضي الله عنه) عن مالك (رضي الله عنه): ولكنه رأى أهل العلم إذا اعتكفوا في العشر الأواخر من رمضان لم يرجعوا إلى أهليهم حتى يظهروا مع المسلمين في عيد الفطر. قال مالك رضي الله عنه: بلغني عن الحكماء قبلي من أهل العلم والفضل أنهم كانوا يفعلون ذلك إذا اعتكفوا. هذا هو المفضل لدي مما سمعته في هذا الشأن.
Tradition 6. Ziyad (RA) narrated on the authority of Malik (RA): But he saw the people of knowledge, when they performed Itikaaf in the last ten days of Ramadan, they would not return to their families until they appeared with the Muslims on Eid-ul-Fitr. Malik (RA) said: It has reached me from the sages before me, possessing knowledge and virtue, that they used to do the same when they performed Itikaaf. This is my favorite of what I have heard on the matter.
