Hadith #38111
On the authority of Al-Musayyab, he said, when Abu Talib’s death was approaching, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to him and found Abu Jahl and Abdullah bin Umayyah ibn al-Mughirah refused, so the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “Uncle, say there is no god but God, a word by which I bear witness to you.” God, so Abu Jahl and Abdullah bin Abi Umayyah said: O Abu Talib, do you renounce the religion of Abdul Muttalib? The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not cease He, peace and blessings be upon him, presented it to him and returned that article to him until Abu Talib said the last thing he spoke to them was that he was following the religion of Abdul Muttalib. He refused to say there is no god but God.
