حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ: هَلْ خَضَبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم؟ قَالَ: لَمْ يَبْلُغْ ذَلِكَ، إِنَّمَا كَانَ شَيْبًا فِي صُدْغَيْهِ وَلَكِنْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ، خَضَبَ بِالْحِنَّاءِ وَالْكَتَمِ.
Muhammad bin Bashar told us, he said: Abu Dawud told us, he said: Hammam told us, on the authority of Qatada, he said: I said to Anas bin Malik: Did the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, get his hair dyed? He said: He did not do that, but there was gray hair at his temples. But Abu Bakr, he dyed his hair with henna. And concealment
