Muhammad ibn Bashar told us, saying: Mu’adh ibn Hisham told us, saying: My father told me, on the authority of Qatadah, on the authority of Sa’id ibn Abi al-Hasan, who said: The pommel of the sword of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was made of silver.
