Hadith #47843
Abu Ja`far Muhammad ibn Sudran al-Basri told us: Talib ibn Hujayr told us, on the authority of Hud, who is Ibn `Abd Allah ibn Sa`d, on the authority of his grandfather, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, entered Mecca on the day of the conquest, and on his sword was gold and silver. Talib said: So I asked him about the silver, and he said: The pommel of the sword was silver.
