حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَتْنِي حَفْصَةُ‏:‏ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، كَانَ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ حِينَ يَطْلُعُ الْفَجْرُ وَيُنَادِي الْمُنَادِي، قَالَ أَيُّوبُ‏:‏ وَأُرَاهُ، قَالَ‏:‏ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ‏.‏
Ahmad bin Mani’ told us, he said: Ismail bin Ibrahim told us, he said: Ayyub told us, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Umar, he said: Hafsa told me: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, used to pray two rak’ahs when dawn came and the herald would call. Ayoub said: And I see him, He said: They are light
