Bulugh al-Maram — Hadith #52451
Hadith #52451
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -: {
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever assumes the position of judge has been slaughtered without a knife.” It was narrated by the five [Imams of Hadith] and authenticated by Ibn Khuzaymah and Ibn Hibban. [1 - This is how it appears in the original two manuscripts. The scribe of manuscript “A” indicated in the margin a version: “Ahmad and the four [Imams of Hadith].”] [2 - Authentic. It was narrated by Abu Dawud (3571), (3572), An-Nasa’i in “Al-Kubra” (3/462), At-Tirmidhi (1325), Ibn Majah (2308), and Ahmad (2/ (230 and 365), and see “The Ethics of Scholars” by al-Ajurri, for I have discussed it in detail there.
