Hadith #7617
روى سلمة بن شبيب: حدثنا الحميدي، حدثنا سفيان، قال: "كان الناس ينقلون أحاديث عن جابر قبل ما حدث، فلما حدث شكك الناس في أحاديثه، وهجره بعضهم". فقيل لسفيان: "ما حدث؟" فأجاب: "الإيمان بالراجحة".
Narrated by Salamah bin Shabīb: Al-Humaydī narrated to us, Sufyān narrated to us, saying: “People used to transmit hadiths from Jābir before what happened. Then, when it happened, people questioned his hadiths and some abandoned him.” [Sufyān] was asked: “What happened?” [Sufyān] replied: “Belief in ar-Raj’ah.”
