Hadith #7632
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ أَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ أَبَقَ فَقَدْ بَرِئَتْ مِنْهُ الذِّمَّةُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏
Narrated by Hajjāj bin ash-Shā’ir: Sulaymān bin Harb narrated to us, Ibn Zayd, or rather Hammād, narrated to us, he said: “Ayyūb was told: ‘Indeed, Amr bin Ubayd narrated from al-Hasan that he said: “There is no punishment for one who gets drunk on Nabīdh.”’ [Ayyūb] said: ‘He lied, for I heard al-Hasan say: “Strike with rods one who gets drunk on Nabīdh.”’”

It is narrated on the authority of Jarir that the Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) observed
