Sahih Muslim — Hadith #7642

Narrated by Suwayd bin Sa’īd: Ali bin Mus’hir narrated to us, saying: “Hamzah az-Zayyāt and I heard about a thousand hadiths from Abān bin Abī Ayyāsh.” Ali said: “I met Hamzah, and he informed me that he had seen the Prophet ﷺ [in a dream], and he presented to him what he had heard from Abān. But [the Prophet] only recognized a small part of it, about five or six [hadiths].”
