Hadith #8415
Has told us [Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numair] has told us [Abdah] from [Thalhah bin Yahya] from [his uncle] he said, "I was beside [Mu'awiyah bin Abi Sufyan], then the muezdzin came calling for prayer, then Mu'awiyah said, 'I heard Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam say, 'The mu'adzdzin are the people with the longest necks. (an expression that they are glorious in the afterlife pent) on the Day of Resurrection'." And having told me about it [Ishaq bin Mansur] had told us [Abu Amir] had told us [Sufyan] from [Thalhah bin Yahya] from [Isa bin Talha] he said, I heard [Mu'awiyah] say, Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said something like that.
