حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى الثَّعْلَبِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ كَذَبَ فِي الرُّؤْيَا مُتَعَمِّدًا كُلِّفَ عَقْدَ شَعِيرَةٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.
Affan narrated to us, Abu Awanah narrated to us, Abd al-Ala al-Thalabi narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him. On the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he said, “Whoever deliberately tells lies in a dream will be required to perform a ritual on the Day of Resurrection.”
