Sunan an-Nasa'i — Hadith #24264

Muhammad bin Al-Muthanna told us, he said, Muhammad told us, he said, Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Mansour, I heard Mujahid, speaking on the authority of Usayd bin Zuhair, He said: Rafi’ bin Khadij came to us and said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade us from a matter that was beneficial to us, and obedience to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. It is better for you. He forbade you from the field and said, “Whoever has land, let him give it or leave it.” And he forbade Al-Muzabanah. The Muzabanah is a man who has a great deal of money from palm trees, and the man comes and takes it for such-and-such and such-and-such an wasq of dates.
