Hadith #24281
أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ سَأَلَ عَطَاءً سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَ جَابِرٌ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏‏ "‏‏ مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ أَرْضٌ فَلْيَزْرَعْهَا أَوْ لِيُزْرِعْهَا أَخَاهُ وَلاَ يُكْرِيهَا أَخَاهُ ‏‏"‏‏‏.‏‏ وَقَدْ رَوَى النَّهْىَ عَنِ الْمُحَاقَلَةِ يَزِيدُ بْنُ نُعَيْمٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ‏.‏‏
Ahmad bin Yahya told me, he said Abu Nu`aym told us, he said Hammam bin Yahya told us, he said Ataa asked Sulayman bin Musa, he said it happened Jabir, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever has land, let him cultivate it or let his brother cultivate it, and let his brother not force it.” The prohibition of rivalry was narrated by Yazid bin Nu`aym on the authority of Jabir bin Abdullah.
