Hadith #37772
وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: { كَانَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ ‏- صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏-لَا يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ اَلْعِيدِ شَيْئًا, فَإِذَا رَجَعَ إِلَى مَنْزِلِهِ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ } رَوَاهُ اِبْنُ مَاجَهْ بِإِسْنَادٍ حَسَنٍ 1‏ .‏‏1 ‏- حسن.‏ رواه ابن ماجه (1293)‏ ولا يظن ظان أن بين هذا الحديث وبين حديث ابن عباس السابق (491)‏ تعارض فحديث ابن عباس خاص بالصلاة في المصلى، وبهذا الجمع قال غير واحد.‏
The Prophet (ﷺ) never used to offer any prayer before the 'Eid prayer. But when he went back home, he used to pray two Rak'at. .
