Hadith #52755
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ لِمُسْلِمٍ: { صَلَّى حِينَ كَسَفَتِ اَلشَّمْسُ ثَمَانَ رَكَعَاتٍ فِي أَرْبَعِ سَجَدَاتٍ } 1‏ .‏‏1 ‏- ضعيف.‏ رواه مسلم (908)‏، وسنده ضعيف وهي رواية شاذة أيضا.‏ وفي رواية (909)‏ لمسلم بنفس ‏-السند‏- أي: ضعيفه أيضا ‏- عن ابن عباس، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم؛ أنه صلى في كسوف.‏ قرأ ثم ركع.‏ ثم قرأ ثم ركع.‏ ثم قرأ ثم ركع.‏ ثم قرأ ثم ركع .‏ ثم سجد.‏ قال: والأخرى مثلها.‏ وضعف ابن حبان هذا الحديث في "صحيحه" (7/98)‏.‏
There is an Idraj in its last part. So the narration is weak whether Marfu' [reaching back to the Prophet (ﷺ)] or Mawquf (saying of a Companion). And it's meaning is to put (one's) hands on his waist. This Hadith is more authentic than the Hadith narrated by Wa'il bin Hujr (RA).
