حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ: أَهْدَى دِحْيَةُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم خُفَّيْنِ، فَلَبِسَهُمَا وَقَالَ إِسْرَائِيلُ: عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، وَجُبَّةً فَلَبِسَهُمَا حَتَّى تَخَرَّقَا لا يَدْرِي النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، أَذِكًى هُمَا أَمْ لا.
قال أبو عيسى: وأبو إسحاق هذا هو أبو إسحاق الشيباني واسمه سليمان.
Qutaibah bin Saeed told us, he said: Yahya bin Zakaria bin Abi Zaida told us, on the authority of Al-Hasan bin Ayyash, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Al-Shu’bi, he said: Al-Mughirah bin Shu’bah said: Dihya gave the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, two slippers as a gift, and he put them on. And Israel said: On the authority of Jabir, On the authority of Amer, he forced him to wear them until they were torn apart. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not know whether they were smart or not. Abu Issa said: This Abu Ishaq is Abu Ishaq al-Shaybani, and his name is Suleiman.
