Muhammad ibn Marzuq Abu Abdullah told us: Abd al-Rahman ibn Qays Abu Muawiyah told us: Hisham told us, on the authority of Muhammad, on the authority of Abu Hurayrah, who said: The sandal of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, had two straps, and so did those of Abu Bakr and Umar, and the first to tie it with a single strap was Uthman, may God be pleased with him.
