Ash-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah — Hadith #47839
Hadith #47839
Abdullah ibn Abdur-Rahman narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Isa, also known as Ibn At-Tabba’, narrated to us, saying: Abbad ibn Al-Awwam narrated to us, on the authority of Sa’id ibn Abi Arubah, on the authority of Qatadah, on the authority of Anas ibn Malik, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to wear his ring on his right hand.
Abu Isa said: This is a strange hadith; we do not know of any hadith from Sa’id ibn Abi Arubah, on the authority of Qatadah, on the authority of Anas, on the authority of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that is similar to this, except through this chain of narration. Some of Qatadah’s companions narrated on the authority of Qatadah, on the authority of Anas bin Malik, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he used to wear his ring on his left hand. This hadith is also not authentic.
