Ash-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah — Hadith #47844

Muhammad ibn Shuja' al-Baghdadi narrated to us, saying: Abu 'Ubaydah al-Haddad narrated to us, on the authority of 'Uthman ibn Sa'd, on the authority of Ibn Sirin, who said: "I forged my sword based on the sword of Samurah ibn Jundub." Samurah claimed that he forged his sword based on the sword of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he was a Hanif (a follower of the Hanifite sect). 'Uqbah ibn Mukram al-Basri narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Bakr narrated to us, on the authority of 'Uthman ibn Sa'd, with this same chain of narration, something similar.
