Ash-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah — Hadith #47871

Abdullah ibn Abd al-Rahman told us, saying: Muhammad ibn al-Mubarak told us, saying: Ata ibn Muslim al-Khaffaf al-Halabi told us, saying: Ja'far ibn Burqan told us, on the authority of Ata ibn Abi Rabah, on the authority of al-Fadl ibn Abbas, who said: I entered upon the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, during the illness from which he died, and on his head was A yellow headband, so I greeted him, and he said: O Fadl. I said: At your service, O Messenger of God. He said: Tie this headband around my head. He said: So I did, then he sat down and placed his hand on my shoulder, then he stood up and entered the mosque.
