حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنِ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو رِمْثَةَ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَ ابْنٍ لِي ، فَقَالَ : " ابْنُكَ هَذَا ؟ " فَقُلْتُ : نَعَمْ , أَشْهَدُ بِهِ ، قَالَ : " لا يَجْنِي عَلَيْكَ ، وَلا تَجْنِي عَلَيْهِ " ، قَالَ : وَرَأَيْتُ الشَّيْبَ أَحْمَرَ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا أَحْسَنُ شَيْءٍ رُوِيَ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ ، وَأَفْسَرُ لأَنَّ الرِّوَايَاتِ الصَّحِيحَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَبْلُغِ الشَّيْبَ . وَأَبُو رِمْثَةَ اسْمُهُ : رِفَاعَةُ بْنُ يَثْرِبِيٍّ التَّيْمِيُّ .
Ahmad bin Mani’ told us, he said: Hushaym told us, he said: Abd al-Malik bin Umair told us, on the authority of Iyad bin Laqit, he said: He told me Abu Rimthah, he said: I came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, with a son of mine, and he said: “Is this your son?” So I said: Yes, I bear witness to him. He said: “ He does not reap upon you, and do not commit injustice against him.” He said: “And I saw the gray hair turning red.” Abu Issa said: This is the best thing that has been narrated in this chapter, and he explained it because The authentic narrations are that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, did not reach gray hair. Abu Rimthah’s name is Rifa’ah bin Yathribi Al-Taymi.
