حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ يَزِيدَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: مَا شَبِعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ خُبْزِ الشَّعِيرِ يَوْمَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ حَتَّى قُبِضَ.
Mahmud ibn Ghaylan told us, saying: Abu Dawud told us, saying: Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, saying: I heard Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid narrating, on the authority of al-Aswad ibn Yazid, on the authority of Aisha, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, never ate his fill of barley bread for two consecutive days until he passed away.
