حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِشَامٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الرِّفَاعِيُّ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ، وَأُمَّ سَلَمَةَ، أَيُّ الْعَمَلِ كَانَ أَحَبَّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏؟‏ قَالَتَا‏:‏ مَا دِيمَ عَلَيْهِ، وَإِنْ قَلَّ‏.‏
Abu Hisham Muhammad bin Yazid Al-Rifai told us, he said: Ibn Fudayl told us, on the authority of Al-A’mash, on the authority of Abu Salih, he said: I asked Aisha, And Umm Salamah, which work was most beloved to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace? They said: As long as he did it constantly, even if it was short.
