Hadith #52347
وَعَنْ ابْن عُمَرَ ‏- رضى الله عنه ‏- عَنِ اَلنَّبِيِّ ‏- صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏-قَالَ: { اَلْمَيِّتُ يُعَذَّبُ فِي قَبْرِهِ بِمَا نِيحَ عَلَيْهِ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْه ِ 1‏ .‏‏1 ‏- صحيح.‏ رواه البخاري ( 1292 )‏، ومسلم ( 927 )‏ ( 17 )‏.‏
On the authority of Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), on the authority of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: “The deceased is punished in his grave for the wailing done over him.” Agreed upon. 1.1 - Authentic. Narrated by Al-Bukhari (1292) and Muslim (927) (17).
