Hadith #52431
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ " يَمِينُكَ عَلَى مَا يُصَدِّقُكَ بِهِ صَاحِبُكَ" } وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: { "اَلْيَمِينُ عَلَى نِيَّةِ اَلْمُسْتَحْلِفِ" } أَخْرَجَهُمَا مُسْلِمٌ 1 .1 - صحيح رواه مسلم ( 1653 ).
On the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Your oath is according to what your companion believes you to be true.” And in another narration: “The oath is according to the intention of the one who administers the oath.” Both were narrated by Muslim. 1.1 - Sahih (authentic), narrated by Muslim (1653).
