On the authority of Amr ibn al-As (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “If a judge makes a ruling, striving to reach the correct decision, and is right, he will have two rewards. If he makes a ruling, striving to reach the correct decision, and is wrong, he will have one reward.” Agreed upon. 1.1 - Authentic. Narrated by al-Bukhari (7352) and Muslim (1716).
