Hadith #52894
وَعَنْ أَبِي اَلزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا عَنْ ثَمَنِ اَلسِّنَّوْرِ وَالْكَلْبِ? فَقَالَ: { زَجَرَ اَلنَّبِيُّ ‏- صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏-عَنْ ذَلِكَ } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ 1‏ .‏‏1 ‏- صحيح.‏ رواه مسلم ( 1569 )‏.‏
I asked Jabir (RA) about the payment for cats and dogs and he replied, "The Prophet (ﷺ) warned sternly against that." [Reported by Muslim].
