Bulugh al-Maram — Hadith #53281

It is mentioned in Al-Bukhari similar to the hadith of Ibn Abbas 1.1 - Al-Bukhari narrated (2671) on the authority of Ibn Abbas; Hilal bin Umayyah slandered his wife in the presence of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, with Sharik bin Samha, and the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Proof or someone is at your back,” so he said: O Messenger of God, if one of us sees a man with his wife, should he go and seek proof? So he started saying, “Evidence or a punishment at your back.”
