وَحَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الأَزْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ، قِرَاءَةً قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، - رضى الله عنهما - قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ لاَ تَكُنْ بِمِثْلِ فُلاَنٍ كَانَ يَقُومُ اللَّيْلَ فَتَرَكَ قِيَامَ اللَّيْلِ " .
And Ahmad ibn Yusuf al-Azdī spoke to me. We talked about 'Umar ibn Abī Salamah, about' Uzzāʼī, a recitation of the Hadith of Jāhid ibn Abī many, about the son of the Ḥakm ibn Thawbān, Abu Salamah ibn ʻAbd al-Raḥmān, about Allah ibn 'Umar ibn al-ʻAṣās, - may Allah be pleased with them - said Rasul "O servant of Allah, do not be like a man who used to stand up at night and leave the day of the night."
