Sahih Muslim — Hadith #4029

Muhammad bin Al-Muthanna and Ibn Bashar narrated to us - and the wording is by Ibn Al-Muthanna - they said, Muhammad bin Ja’far narrated to us, Shu’bah narrated to us, on the authority of Qatada, On the authority of Abu Al-Hakam, he said: I heard Ibn Umar, speaking on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said: “Whoever keeps a dog, except a dog of crops or sheep, Or hunting, the reward of which is reduced by a Qirat every day.”
