Hadith #2152
وَحَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَنَّحَدَّثَهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ الْحَىِّ ‏"‏ ‏.‏
And Hermet bin Yahya spoke to me, We spoke to the servant of Allah bin Wahhab, Umar bin Muhammad spoke to me, He spoke to me about the servant of Allah bin Umar, The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "The dead is tormented by the weeping of the living."
