Hadith #2250
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ السَّعْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ بُسْرِ، بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مَرْثَدٍ الْغَنَوِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ تَجْلِسُوا عَلَى الْقُبُورِ وَلاَ تُصَلُّوا إِلَيْهَا " .
And Ali, the son of Hijr al-Sa 'di, spoke to us about the newborn son of a Muslim, about the son of Jabir, about Psalms, about the son of Ubaid Allah, about Wathilah, about my father Marthad al-Ghunni, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Do not sit on graves and do not pray to them."
