Hadith #47919
Ahmad ibn Mani’ told us, saying: Isma’il ibn Ibrahim told us, on the authority of Ayyub, on the authority of Ibn Abi Mulayka, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came out of the toilet, and food was brought to him. They said: Shall we not bring you water for ablution? He said: I was only commanded to perform ablution when I stand up for prayer.
