حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْمُلَيْكِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: لَمَّا قُبِضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، اخْتَلَفُوا فِي دَفْنِهِ، فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، شَيْئًا مَا نَسِيتُهُ، قَالَ: مَا قَبَضَ اللَّهُ نَبِيًّا إِلا فِي الْمَوْضِعِ الَّذِي يُحِبُّ أَنْ يُدْفَنَ فِيهِ، ادْفِنُوهُ فِي مَوْضِعِ فِرَاشِهِ.
Abu Kurayb Muhammad bin Al-Ala told us, he said: Abu Muawiyah told us, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Bakr, who is Ibn al-Mulaiki, on the authority of Ibn Abi Mulaika, on the authority of Aisha, who said: When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was arrested, they disagreed about his burial, so Abu Bakr said: I heard from the Messenger of God. May God’s prayers and peace be upon him. Something I have not forgotten. He said: God did not take a prophet except in the place where he would like to be buried. Bury him in the place of his bed.
