Hadith #47716
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم: مَنْ حَلَفَ مِنْكُمْ فَقَالَ فِي حَلِفِهِ: بِاللاَّتِ وَالْعُزَّى، فَلْيَقُلْ: لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ، وَمَنْ قَالَ لِصَاحِبِهِ: تَعَالَ أُقَامِرْكَ، فَلْيَتَصَدَّقْ.
Yahya bin Bukayr told us, he said: Al-Layth told us, on the authority of Aqeel, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, Humayd bin Abdul Rahman told me that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Whoever among you swears an oath and says in his oath: By Al-Lat and Al-Uzza, let him say: There is no god but God. And whoever says to his friend: Come, I will gamble with you, let him give alms.
