Hadith #48344
وَعَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنِّي لَأَدْخُلُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَأَنَا أُرِيدُ إِطَالَتَهَا فَأَسْمَعُ بُكَاءَ الصَّبِيِّ فَأَتَجَوَّزُ فِي صَلَاتِي مِمَّا أَعْلَمُ مِنْ شِدَّةِ وجد أمه من بكائه» . رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ
On the authority of Abu Qatada, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “I was entering the prayer and I wanted to prolong it, but I heard the crying of a child.” So I continue in my prayer from what I know of the distress of his mother’s crying.” Narrated by Al-Bukhari
