Hadith #48457
وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا نَعَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَلْيَرْقُدْ حَتَّى يَذْهَبَ عَنْهُ النَّوْمُ فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا صَلَّى وَهُوَ نَاعِسٌ لَا يدْرِي لَعَلَّه يسْتَغْفر فيسب نَفسه»
On the authority of Aisha, she said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If one of you sleeps while praying, let him lie down until sleep goes away from him.” If one of you prays while he is sleepy and does not know, perhaps he will ask for forgiveness and curse himself.”
