Hadith #48490
وَعَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ بِمَكَّةَ وَالسَّمَاءُ مُغَيِّمَةٌ فَخَشِيَ الصُّبْحَ فَأَوْتَرَ بِوَاحِدَةٍ ثُمَّ انْكَشَفَ فَرَأَى أَنَّ عَلَيْهِ لَيْلًا فَشَفَعَ بِوَاحِدَةٍ ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَلَمَّا خَشِيَ الصُّبْح أوتر بِوَاحِدَة. رَوَاهُ مَالك
On the authority of Nafi’, he said: I was with Ibn Umar in Mecca and the sky was cloudy, so he feared the dawn, so he prayed one prayer, then he uncovered and saw that night was upon him. So he made intercession with one rak'ah, then prayed two rak'ahs, and when he feared dawn, he prayed one rak'ah. Narrated by Malik
