وَعَن مَالك بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ كَانَ يَقْصُرُ فِي الصَّلَاة فِي مثل مَا يكون بَين مَكَّة والطائف وَفِي مثل مَا يكون بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَعُسْفَانَ وَفَى مِثْلِ مَا بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَجُدَّةَ قَالَ مَالِكٌ: وَذَلِكَ أَرْبَعَةُ بُرُدٍ. رَوَاهُ فِي الْمُوَطَّأ
On the authority of Malik, he was informed that Ibn Abbas used to shorten his prayers in times such as between Mecca and Taif, and in times such as between Mecca and Usfan, and in times such as between Mecca and Jeddah. Malik said: That is four bards. Narrated in Al-Muwatta
